Concession and Awards by State Government
Employment in Odisha :
 

Perference is given to NCC (Certificate Holders) in the recruitment to State Police Force.

Scholarships and Cash Awards:
 

Governor’s Medal carrying a cash award of Rs. 10000/- is awarded to four NCC Cadets, who excel in NCC activities at the National Level.

 

Chief Minister’s Scholarship of Rs. 7500/- each is awarded to four NCC Cadets who excel in NCC activities / sports at the National / State level.

 

Free Mufti is provided to NCC Cadets who participate in Republic Day Camp.

Concessions in the Academic Field 

NCC “A” and “B” Certificate holders are granted additional weightage of 5% and 10% marks respectively over and above the percentage of aggregate marks obtained by the minimum qualifying examination for admission to various Colleges in the Odisha state.

Additional weightage of 5% marks over and above the aggregate marks obtained in qualifying examination given to candidates who have represented the University or State or Central / Sainik Schools at India Level in sports or NCC Activities.

Incentives to NCC Cadets holding A, B and C Certificates in Indian Maritime University CET Examination for entry into UG/PG Programmes

Commission in Armed Forces As Officer

Army :
From amongst the National Cadet corps cadets who have passed UPSC Examination and the SSB, 32 Cadets will be selected to undergo training at the IMA irrespective of the position in the general merit list, i.e., 64 vacancies in a year.

NCC 'C' Certificate holders with minimum B grading and having passed graduation with minimum 50% marks are eligible to be called directly for SSB for OTA.

Navy :
Upto 6 vacancies per course for grant of commission in the Navy are reserved for selection of eligible National Cadet Corps Cadets as Special Entyr Cadets, provided they are in possession of “C” Certificate of Naval wing NCC and are deemed fit to undergo training in Naval Academy, Coching by the Naval Selection Board. Such Cadets are exempted from appearing in UPSC Entrance Examination.

Air Force :
Flying Branch (Pilot) (Per-Flying Training Course): 10 vacancies per course are reserved for NCC Air Wing Cadets holding NCC “C” Certificate of Air Wing. Two courses are held every year. The Cadets for pre flying training course do not have to undergo UPSC Examination. These application forms are routed through DG NCC.

Other Branches of Air force:
10% of the vacancies are reserved for NCC Air Wing Cadets holding “C” Certificate of Air Wing for commission into various branches, provided they are found fit by Service Selection Board.
