1(0) GIRLS BN.

	1 (O) Girls Bn was raised in July 1964 as “1 Odisha Girls” at Cuttack and was placed under command of NCC Gp HQ, Cuttack. In Sep 1967, Girl’s Coy of other Bns were merged with this unit, thus emerged a complete Battalion. This unit was placed under Cuttack Group HQ.
	On 01 Jul 1967, the Battalion Headquarter was shifted from Cuttack to Bhubaneswar. At present this unit is functioning under direct command of NCC Directorate. This unit has 960 SW and 2167 JW cadets authorized and has coverage in 20 colleges and 35 school in AOR of Cuttack and Berhampur Group.
	The Battalion is presently commanded by Col CD Sahoo
